COVID-19: Kerala records 57 fresh cases and 1 death

On Monday, Kerala recorded 57 new COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of cases to 1325. Out of the new cases, 55 are returnees. While 27 returned from abroad, 28 returned from other states. Currently, 708 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals. Meanwhile, 18 patients tested negative for the virus on Monday.

Kasargod and Malappuram accounted for 14 cases each, Thrissur 9, Kollam 5, Pathanamthitta 4, Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam 3 each, Alappuzha and Palakkad 2 each while Idukki reported one case. A Kozhikode woman, who was undergoing treatment for COVID -19, succumbed to the virus on Sunday night taking the death toll in the state to 11.

Meanwhile, the number of Keralites' death outside India rose to 210.
