COVID-19: Kerala footballer offers his home for treatment

Many celebrities from across the globe are doing their bit by donating money to help the needy during the lockdown of coronavirus pandemic. In Kerala, the latest one to join is a football player.
Kerala football player MP Zakeer has handed over his fully furnished two-storeyed house, in Areekode, in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic. He offered his house for those who are advised to undergo home quarantine as well as to health workers. Zakeer took to his Facebook page to announce his decision.
Zakeer and his family comprising of his wife Faseela and daughter Mariyam used to stay at the house. However, following his decision to offer his house, Zakeer has shifted his family to his pregnant wife's residence at Edavanna.
Zakeer is a former Kerala Blasters player and has also played for Kerala in the Santosh Trophy, the colours of Blasters, Chennaiyin FC, and Mumbai City FC in the Indian Super League. The 29-year-old had also represented Viva Kerala, Churchill Brothers and Mohan Bagan in other leagues.
