COVID-19: Kerala confirms 32 more positive cases, total number 234

Thirty-two more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in Kerala on Monday. This takes the total number of cases in the state to 234, including one death and 20 recoveries. Among the new cases, 17 are from Kasargod, 11 from Kannur and 2 each from Wayanad and Idukki districts. Seventeen of them have foreign travel history and 15 got the disease via contact with infected people, Pinarayi Vijayan said.
Kasaragod continues to be the district with the most number of COVID-19 patients in the state with 97 people under treatment in the district. Currently, a total of 623 people have been admitted to isolation wards in hospitals across the state. On Monday alone, 126 people were admitted to hospitals. At the press meet, Pinarayi also announced that 5,178 camps with necessary facilities have been set up for migrant labourers in the state.
So far, there has been one death in the state due to coronavirus, that of a 69-year-old man from Kochi. However, two more deaths of persons who had been in quarantine for COVID-19, have been reported, although it is not yet confirmed if they died of the disease.
