Covid-19 in Telangana: 894 new cases in 24 hours

Telangana has seen a fall in the number of positive cases below the 1000 mark. The Telugu State has seen 894 cases in 24 hours (as of August 16, 8PM), bringing the cumulative caseload to 92,255.

24-hr breakdown: GHMC (147), Medchal (51), Karimnagar (69), Warangal Urban (44), Rangareddy (85), Peddapalli (62), Siddipet (58), so on and so forth.

With 10 deaths in the 24-hour period, the cumulative fatality number stands at 703. The number of recovered cases stands at 70,132 (cumulative), with 2,006 recovering in the past 24 hours.

Case fatality rate is 0.76%, which has not seen any improvement since the last week. The cumulative recovery rate stands at 76.01%, which is more than India's cumulative recovery rate of 71.91%.

The total number of active cases now stands at 21,420. As many as 14,404 individuals are in home or institutional isolation in the State. Again this number has come down from the previous week.
