The Sitarama Kalyanam event held at Bhadrachalam during the most auspicious Sri Rama Navami will this time have no devotees as witnesses. With the Corona threat looming large, the April 2 event will unfold in the absence of pilgrims.

The state government has decided to disallow the congregation of devotees at the famous pilgrimage centre. On Tuesday, Minister Puvvada Ajay said that the entry of devotees stands banned to prevent social contact. Ticket sales have been stopped. Those who have already bought tickets will be refunded their amounts.

The government has reportedly appointed a supervisor who will oversee the rituals pertaining to the celestial wedding.
