COVID-19: A sad news for TV addicts!

It's lockdown time and people across the globe are glued to television and digital platforms to kill time. As you know a major portion of Kerala audience is addicted to TV serials and reality shows. Owing to the nationwide lockdown amid COVID-19 outbreak, the shoot of all movies, serials and TV shows have come to a standstill. As there are no more new episodes to air, all tv-shows will be suspended from April first week, say reports.

With the lockdown, it has affected over 20,000 people in the television industry. “People who works behind the cameras never get any benefits from the welfare programmes. Hence, the shooting ban amid the lockdown will create more trouble for such people,” says Doordarshan former director K Kunhikrishnan.

Well, as the Kerala Chief Minister says in all his COVD-19 related press meets, the public should make use of the lockdown time spending with their families, engaging in their hobbies and start the habit of reading books.
