COVID positive cases in India are seeing a unexpected hike with each passing day and so is Telangana. Along with the public, the doctors who are treating these patients are also falling sick.
Recently, in Janagaon, Warangal, a COVID positive government doctor was asked to report for night duty even after telling his authorities that he is COVID positive.
The doctor’s wife, who is also a doctor, and another family member were tested positive recently. So this doctor also decided to get himself tested and the reports have come to him at 5pm. The doctor had to report to duty at 8pm but decided not to go after the reports claimed that he is COVID positive.
But apparently, the doctor was asked by hi senior authority to report to duty just because his name was already written in the duty sheet. Having no choice and with the worry of losing his job, the doctor wore a PPE kit and went for the duty.
A Mahendra, DMHO had said that whether it is public or doctors, it’s a must they quarantine themselves for 17 continuous days.
Telangana officials have asked for a probe to know under what circumstances the doctor was asked to come.
