COVID-19: Pawan Kalyan makes a demand for journalists

With more than 53 journalists in Mumbai and about two dozen more in Chennai contracting COVID-19 earlier this week, actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has made a timely and relevant demand.

As per the Jana Sena chief, those reporting on the novel coronavirus cases from the ground must be provided with health insurance. This comment came from the 'Vakeel Saab' actor in the wake of reports that a few journalists have been quarantined in Telangana.

I also urge journalist unions and media houses to provide necessary protection to their staff members, the 'Agnyaathavaasi' actor added.

On Thursday, Haryana became the first State in the country to provide an insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh to journalists reporting on COVID-19.
