Recently, a techie working for Google tested positive for Coronavirus. He and his wife had been to Italy for a honeymoon. Soon after they returned, the Google employee got himself tested for COVID-19. After doctors confirmed that he was positive, his wife was quarantined in Bengaluru by health authorities. However, the woman escaped from the place and went to Delhi by air. She reached Agra by train. Sadly, she has eventually tested positive for COVID-19.
This has caused alarm, given that the woman had been putting several people at risk by freely moving among them in public places despite knowing that she might have already contacted COVID-19.
Netizens are angry that the woman has behaved irresponsibly. "Despite being an educated person, she didn't have the sense that she should take good care of herself and avoid social contact with others," a Facebook user said.
Former cricketer Virender Sehwag wrote, "I humbly request anyone who has symptoms or has been tested positive to please not put anyone else at risk. This will be a great Seva. Please be responsible, and with everyone's sensitivity and support this too shall pass smoothly soon."
