Covid-19: India crosses 50K figure for the 5th day in a row

India continues to register more than 50,000 cases per day. It has been the 5th day in a row for the country to cross the 50K mark. Bringing the cumulative tally to 18,03,695 on Monday morning, the country logged 52,972 cases in the past 24 hours.

The number of cumulative recoveries stands at 11,86,203. Active cases are 5,79,357 in number. With recover rate standing at 65.76%, overall death toll is 38,135.

Numbers till date in a nutshell:

Confirmed cases: 18,03,695
Active cases: 579,357
Cured/Discharged/Migrated: 11,86,203
Deaths: 38,135

The number of tests conducted in India stands at 2,02,02,858. About 3,81,027 samples were tested on Sunday.

Prof. Shamika Ravie says that India's case fatality rate stands at 2.14%. States with higher CFR are Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal.
