Covid-19: Heroes Act of $3 trillion passed by House of Representatives

The House of Representatives, the lower House of the US Congress, has passed a $3 trillion coronavirus relief bill titled the Heroes Act. This is by far the most expensive legislation ever approved by the House. Conceived and introduced by the Democrats, this is meant to save livelihoods and lives in the Covid-19 era.
The legislation includes $915 billion in state and local aid that could prevent layoffs of public workers, like first responders and teachers; a new $200 billion heroes fund for hazard pay for essential workers; $100 billion for K-12 and higher education and $75 billion for coronavirus testing, reports Fox News.
Eligible individuals would receive $1,200 checks for each person in their household, up to $6,000, the report adds.
The Act was passed by the House after a 208-199 vote. The bill includes another round of $1,200 direct payments to individuals and help for the unemployed, renters and homeowners, college debt holders, reports ABC13 Houston.
36 million Americans have lost their jobs in the last 2 months due to the pandemic. The Dems have supported the Act overwhelmingly for this reason.
The Act has been criticized by opponents. I voted NO on the Heroes Act because this package has nothing to do with coronavirus relief. Speaker Pelosi is using this crisis to push her liberal agenda and consolidate power. A pandemic is not the time for political posturing - it’s the time to help Americans in need, a member of the House tweeted out.
