Variety magazine has reported that film productions have started to be allowed in Sweden and Denmark. New COVID-related rules have been notified by authorities in this regard. The rules aim at restricting social interaction and enforcing social distancing as much as possible.
Producer Vishakha J Singh says, "They have allowed for shoots with a maximum of 50 people. Crew members have to maintain distance. No crowd scenes are permitted. They have issued even new meal-serving guidelines. Masks are compulsory. No official rules regarding intimate scenes shoot as yet."
Such rules are likely to be imposed in India, a densely-populated country, as well. It will be quite a challenge for filmmakers to abide by them. Producer D Suresh Babu recently hinted that scripts might have to be rewritten in tune with the pressing times. Ramoji Film City, for example, is expected to be a major epicenter in India where films will be shot and unit members will stay put for weeks without stepping out!
