The official updates for the coronavirus today shows Chennai maintaining the recent low number of new cases of 1205 for the fourth consecutive day while the rest of TN also marks a marginal drop with the state news cases being 3680. There are now 1,30,261 patients in the state with the capital city accounting for 74969. The death toll has increased to 1829 after 64 new deaths occurring due to the virus in the past twenty four hours.

The high number of 35,921 persons were tested today with the rate of positive cases being slightly under ten percent. The high number of 4163 patients got discharged today taking up the tally of recoveries to 82,324 which is more than sixty percent of the cases.
