Suresh Gopi has been selected for this year's Netaji Deshiya Award for social work.

The award, instituted by the Netaji Memorial Charitable Society, will be presented to Suresh Gopi by Minister for Water Resources N K Premachandran at a function on August 26.

Netaji Memorial Charitable Society president P K Aravindakshan said that Suresh Gopi was selected for the award for championing the cause of the HIV-positive siblings Bency and Benson.
