Lady Superstar Nayanthara's next movie Kolaiyuthir Kaalam, directed by Chakri Toleti who had previously directed Unnai Pol Oruvan and Billa 2, was supposed to release on June 14. However, the movie had ran into a legal trouble and the release of the movie was postponed.

Following the claim by a person named Balaji Kumar that he holds the rights for the Sujatha novel Kolaiyuthir Kaalam and that the usage of the title is a case of copyright infringement, the court had ordered a stay on the release. However, now the court has reportedly cleared the case, and has removed the stay on release.

Now it has been said that the team is making the arrangements to release the movie, and are planning to announce the new release date soon. Kolaiyuthir Kaalam is produced by V Mathiyalagan's Etcetera entertainment, and also stars Bhumika Chawla and Prathap Pothen in important roles.
