Vishal, who is currently working on his upcoming movies (read 'Laththi', 'Mark Antony' and his debut directorial, 'Thupparivalan 2'), is in the news over a court case pertaining to a loan he took in the past.

On Saturday, the Madras High Court issued an order in a case between Vishal Film Factory and Lyca Productions. It is reported that Vishal had taken a loan from Anbu Chezhiyan for a film being produced under his banner and the actor urged Lyca to repay the loan. Lyca Productions had repaid Vishal's loan and the production house initiated a lawsuit against the actor saying he is yet to settle the amount.

The lawsuit sought an injunction restraining the sale of satellite and OTT rights of the movie, 'Veerame Vagai Soodum' ('Saamanyudu' in Telugu) for the time being. The actor has been asked to pay a fixed deposit of Rs 15 Cr within three weeks. This will be used as a security deposit in case he loses the legal fight to Lyca. Lyca, on its part, has said that Vishal owes the production house Rs 21.69 Cr.
