R Nagender Yadav, a corporator from Seringapalli has been arrested by cyberabad police after he allegedly attacked a young woman on September 12 and filed a complaint. The 53-year-old corporator is a member of the ruling party of Telangana, TRS.

Reportedly the police have filed a case against Nagender Reddy under Section 506 of Indian Penal Code and was arrested on September 19 and produced before the district court for a judicial remand.

The issue caught attention after the woman who was assaulted and her sister took it to social media and posted videos of the assault, and later these videos turned viral on social media. In the video it can be seen that the argument starts with when the victim asking the Corporator to remove his car which blocked the path to her house.
