COVID 19 - Another big spike in Chennai as Tamil Nadu crosses 4000 patients

The official updates on Coronavirus today sees yet another spike as 508 new patients have tested positive taking the Tamil Nadu state total to 4058. Chennai has once again contributed more than one third with 279 mostly linked to the Koyambedu market cluster and the capital now accounts for 2008 infections which is more or less half the number in the state.

A total of 174,828 and 1,65,191 persons tested so far with 11,858 today. 1,485 discharges so far out of which 76 done today. 213 children under 13 are among the 2537 active cases in TN now. Two persons have lost their lives today taking the death toll total to 33.

Chief Minister Edappadi Pazhaniswamy addressed the state today and expressed satisfaction regarding the coronavirus relief measures.
