COVID 19 - Tamil Nadu crosses ten thousand mark with Chennai in red high again

The coronavirus patients count in Tamil Nadu has crossed the ten thousand mark today with 10108 affected till date.  Today 434 new cases have been reported with Chennai accounting for 309 of them which is exactly three fourth of the count and the total in the capital city now is 5946.  359 persons have recovered today with the total number reaching 2599 in the state so far.  Five persons have lost their lives today taking up the death toll to 71.

6 people who returned from Maldives, 40  from Maharashtra, 2 from Gujarat and 1 from Karnataka.have tested positive for COVID 19 in Tamil Nadu today.  Like yesterday there have been zero active cases in Coimbatore, Namakkal, Salem, Tiruppur and Erode

TN has crossed the 3 lakh testing mark out of which 11,672 samples tested today. 3,03,104 samples tested till date. 2,90,906 persons tested so far. Of the 10,108 cases, 6642 are male, 3463 female, 3 transgenders, and 583 children under the age of 12 affected.
