Sharp jump in coronavirus patients in Tamil Nadu today

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Public Health and Preventive Medicines has confirmed that 17 new patients have tested positive for the novel coronavirus with the affected number in the state rising to 67. Out of the new patients, 10 have history of traveling from Erode to Delhi and also contacts of the Thai nationals who are admitted at the government hospital in Perundurai.
A 25-year-old male who tested positive and is admitted to the Rajaji Hospital in Madurai is a relative of a person already affected. A family of four from Chennai, male aged 20 and females aged 76, 54 and 15 are relatives of a patient aged 42 who returned from the USA and was admitted to the hospital.
The rest are a 50 year old woman from Broadway in Chennai admitted to the RGGH and 42 year old man from Kulithalai with travel history to Delhi who has been admitted to Karur Medical College Hospital. All the patients are being treated in isolation wards and are stable.
