Coronavirus treatment: Kerala Naturopath Mohanan Vaidyar arrested!

Police arrested Mohanan Vaidyar, a controversial person who claims to be a naturopath, for giving fake Ayurveda treatment for Coronavirus in Thrissur, Kerala. On Wednesday, his Ayurveda centre at Pattikad was raided by police and health department officials after receiving a piece of secret information that Mohanan was illegally treating and prescribing medicines to people for COVID-19.
Following this, the Police nabbed him at his clinic and a case was charged against him for cheating, impersonation, and act of negligence which is likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life. Though Vaidyar claimed that he neither treated anyone nor prescribed any medicine for the illness, people who sought treatment at the centre said that he did. Reportedly, the police had even found that the Vaidyar had treated patients of cancer.
Mohanan had also made false claims on social media about coronavirus cure. In his Facebook post, which has was taken down after he was booked, he claimed he could cure all kinds of viral diseases including COVID-19.
