Coronavirus scare: Kerala beverage outlets will NOT shut down

The total number of coronavirus infected people in the state of Kerala has become 14. After Kerala State Government announced severe restrictions, including the closure of educational institutions and cinema houses till March end to halt the further spread of coronavirus and COVID-19, there have been reports doing the round that the beverage outlets across the state will also remain closed.
On Wednesday, the Kerala State Beverages (Manufacturing & Marketing) Corporation(KSBC) has clarified that no such directive was released by the state government. In the press release, the beverages corporation stated that all news regarding closing down of outlets in the state are false and that strict action against all those who are found spreading fake news.
Except for one beverage outlet in Pathanamthitta district, no other outlet has been closed in the state, said Beverages Corporation authorities.
