After Coronavirus has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation, social life has been very badly affected across the world. Amidst the growing numbers of COVID-19 patients in Kerala, the government has shut the malls, schools, and colleges so as to avoid social gatherings. The government has also requested the public to call off all kinds of festivals, group prayers, wedding celebrations, and other public gatherings.

In between all the chaos, Kerala's popular singer Abhijith Kollam got married to actress Vismayarsree at a low-key affair in Kollam. A day before the wedding, the couple shared a video on their social media page saying that they couldn't invite many people due to the prevailing condition and apologized for the same. The couple will conduct a gala reception soon after the state is free from the virus care. 

Abhijith and Vismayasree’s engagement was on September 18, six months ago. Abhijith, known for his similarity in voice to Yesudas, has crooned for a number of hits in Malayalam cinema and grabbed a lot of attention through his devotional songs.
