The deadly coronavirus that caused millions of deaths all over the world in 2020 to 2022 came largely under control in the past year or so. However in the past few weeks cases are reported again and in India in the last 24 hours 3,641 new cases were reported which is 27 percent more than the previous day.
The Tamil Nadu government has already instructed hospitals not to allow anyone without masks. Now it has become mandatory to cinema theaters also to strictly allow patrons only with masks on.
Regarding this, Public Health Department Director Selva Vinayak said that there is no need to impose strict restrictions as there is no large spread of corona virus in Tamil Nadu. However, wearing masks should be made mandatory for everyone as a precautionary measure. He explained that while wearing of masks is already mandatory in hospitals, masks will now be made mandatory in theaters, halls with AC facility that hosts any public event including film audio launches and press meets. So it is worth noting that fans who go to the cinema to watch the movie must now go with a mask to make sure that COVID 19 is at bay.
