Dr Arvind Kumar of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has told NDTV that the Coronavirus bomb will explode like anything by next weekend. This is in view of the ever-increasing number of infections across the country.

"Yesterday, 60 new infections were reported in India. The numbers will become worse in the coming days. By next Wednesday or Thursday or latest by weekend, the bomb will explode big-time. We are going to face a
China-like situation," the doctor said.

He added that huge number of people are going to fall sick. "Malnutrition, incidence of diabetes and heart-related aliments, and lung ailments are just too many in India. They are highly vulnerable if COVID-19
attacks them. To make the matters worse, the health infrastructure is abysmal," he observed.

Lockdown of India is now inevitable it seems.

Today, the Health Secretary suggested that Sunday's Janata Curfew is just a dry run. The whole country will possibly be locked down from Tuesday or Wednesday.
