Passengers travelling from Hyderabad to locations such as Vizag in Andhra Pradesh pose a risk at a time when several in Hyderabad are suspected to have come in direct contact with a Coronavirus-infected techie.
As per media reports, the Andhra Pradesh bus transport services as well as the Railways are taking steps to monitor the inflow of passengers from Hyderabad. Besides the wearing of masks, avoiding direct contact with fellow passengers has become a must.
Buses have been splashed with posters about mandatory safety measures that need to be taken. More and more will be done to prevent the spread of infection.
Meanwhile, several MNCs and other corporates in Hyderabad have started making their employees work from home for the next few days or weeks. Says blogger Kartik Dayanand, "It's just a matter of time before compulsory work from home becomes the norm across IT companies in India. All they need are a laptop with Outlook, Skype, Excel and PPT; and a good Jio or any other reliable broadband connection."
