Amidst the fear surrounding the coronavirus that originated from China's Wuhan and has spread to nearly 30 countries so far, it has been reported that the 645 Indian citizens who had recently been evacuated from Wuhan have tested negative for the virus, according to the Union Health Ministry.

The 645 Indians, who were airlifted from Wuhan, were placed under isolation at Army Base and ITBP camps. Also, no new case has been reported. India has so far confirmed 3 cases of novel coronavirus (nCoV), following which the Kerala government had declared a state specific disaster. All three of them are clinically stable, according to a statement from the ministry.

Immigration officials have reportedly stated that foreigners who have been to China on or after 15 January are not allowed to enter India from any air, land or seaport, including Indo-Nepal, Indo-Bhutan, Indo-Bangladesh or Indo-Myanmar land borders.
