On Tuesday, Kerala saw a stupendous spike in the number of coronavirus positive cases taking the total number of infected people to 105. The Kerala Government confirmed 14 new Coronavirus cases. Of the 14 cases, 8 people had returned from Dubai and 1 each from Qatar and UK. One of the confirmed cases includes a medical staff as well. The numbers were officially announced by Pinarayi Vijayan at a press meet in Trivandrum.

At present, 72460 people are being kept under observation. 164 people were admitted to hospitals across the state. Out of the 4516 samples collected, 3331 have turned negative, said Pinarayi Vijayan. He also stressed on the need to follow preventive measures and follow social distancing to curb the spread of the virus.

Given the alarming situation, Kerala is currently on a complete lockdown until March 31.
