While the nation is on a 21 days mandatory lockdown, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced an activity to be performed on April 5 to remove the darkness of corona by lighting lamps, diyas outside balcony or doorsteps.

Citizens of the country including actresses and actors, political leaders followed the 9 minutes at 9 PM candle or diya lighting task yesterday, and Superstar Rajnikanth also followed the light task to drive away Corona darkness.

Rajinikanth shared a photo of himself with his wife Latha Rajnikanth with lamps outside their Poes Garden residence and captioned it "#StayHomeStaySafe #Solidarity #Unity #IndiaFightsCoronavirus ????". Latha Rajnikanth also shared few photos and tweeted "Let the gloom of darkness go .. may light prevail and shine again. May the earth be protected.??@latharajnikanth".
