In a shocking turn of events, a fan of actor Rajnikanth had attacked and killed his own friend who is a fan of actor Vijay, after they had a heated argument over the corona relief funds given by the actors.

In the wake of Coronavirus pandemic, Superstar Rajnikanth had donated 50 lakhs for corona relief and has been contributing in various ways and Vijay had recently donated 1.3 crores for various relief funds. In Marakkanam located in Villupuram, two friends Yuvaraj, a Vijay fan and Dinesh Babu, a Rajni fan had a heated argument over who had donated the highest.

The friends were under the influence of alcohol, and the argument which started on a fun note turned aggressive and violent as Dinesh Babu pushed Yuvaraj down, and Yuvaraj whose head was severely injured in the incident, passed away on the spot. Dinesh Babu was arrested by the police and this incident of a fan fight between friends ending in murder has shocked people in the locality.
