Popular actress turned politician Sumalatha Ambareesh had recently announced that she had tested positive for Coronavirus infection and was taking treatment for the same. 3 weeks after testing positive, now the actress has recovered.

Sumalatha announced on Twitter that she had completely recovered from Coronavirus infection and tested negative, and is currently in home quarantine for a week as per doctor's advice. The 56 year old actress had tested positive on July 4.

Sumalatha, wife of late actor Ambareesh and the MP of Mandya constituency in Karnataka has acted in numerous movies in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam and has acted with superstar Rajinikanth in movies like Murattu Kaalai, Kazhugu.
