News agency IANS has on Friday reported that suspected Coronavirus positive Indian Muslim nationals are being pushed from Nepal to India. It quotes a letter written by the intelligence wing of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), a paramilitary force, to the police and local administration in Bihar.
In a letter addressed to District Magistrate of West Champaran district in Bihar, the intel wing said that an input received from "very reliable sources" revealed that one Jalim Mukhiya is planning to spread COVID-19 in India. He is reportedly a smuggler.
"Mukhiya has taken the responsibility to cross Indian Muslim nationals working in different Muslim countries during the lockdown," IANS quotes the official missive saying.
As many as 200 Indian Muslim nationals who were residing in several Muslim countries arrived in Nepal last month. They are reportedly hiding in mosques and madarsas at Nepal's Chandanbasra and Khairwa.
The SSB alerted the Bihar police that 40-50 Indian Muslim nationals would arrive in Bihar on April 4 by hoodwinking border security personnel by consuming paracetamol to lower their body temperature.
