Tamil Nadu government announces corona lockdown extension!

Following the Coronavirus outbreak in the country, Indian prime minister Narendra Modi had announced the lockdown across the country on March 24, and since the it has been extending and is being continued by individual state governments.

Now, as the total lockdown imposed by the Tamil Nadu Government in several parts of the state ends by today, yesterday evening, the government announced the extension of the lockdown till July 31 all over the state, and also added that the total lockdown in Chennai and districts in its surroundings will be extended till July 5.

This announcement has come in the wake of the increasing number of Coronavirus positive cases in the state, as every day more than 3500 cases are getting reported regularly, and yesterday it had almost reached 4000 cases. Tamil Nadu is the second worst affected state of India now.
