After Goa became the first corona free state in India, Manipur CM N Biren Singh has announced that the two patients from the state, who had earlier tested positive for coronavirus have recovered and tested negative for Coronavirus.
The first case in Manipur was a 23-year-old woman who had returned from the United Kingdom, and the second case was that of a 65-year-old patient who contracted the disease after returning from Tablighi Jamaat event in Delhi’s Nizamudddin.
Manipur CM Biren Singh tweeted “I am glad to share that Manipur is now Corona free. Both patients have fully recovered and have tested negative. There are no fresh cases of the virus in the state". Before Manipur, the coastal state of Goa which had seven positive cases of COVID-19, reported that all of them had recovered, making Goa the first green State in the country with no cases reported since April 3.
