TN govt appoints special nodal officer for corona issues!

Tamil Nadu has been badly hit by the Coronavirus pandemic and the number of cases have been steadily on the rise in the state. Chennai has been topping the state counts for the past three days with more than 90% of the cases being reported in Chennai.

With 161 new cases yesterday in Tamil Nadu in total and Chennai alone contributing 138 cases out of the total, the total postive cases of Coronavirus in Tamil Nadu reached an alarming number of 2323. Now, as a control measure, Tamil Nadu govt has appointed a special officer.

Tamil Nadu Government has appointed senior IAS officer J. Radhakrishnan, Secretary Revenue administration as special nodal officer for Greater Chennai Corporation to coordinate COVID-19 related issues, and he will be supported by a team comprising Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, ADGP for North zone, Abhash kumar, ADGP for East zone, Amaresh pujari, ADGP for South zone, Abhay Kumar Singh, ADGP for West zone and K Bhavaneeswari IPS additionally deployed for Chennai suburbs.
