In a positive sign, Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson has left the intensive care unit yesterday evening and is steadily recovering from COVID-19, and as per reports from his office, is under close observation in the hospital.
55 year old Johnson was admitted to St Thomas’ Hospital on Sunday evening after his condition worsened with persistent high temperature and cough, following which he had been rushed to intensive care unit. Johnson had been receiving treatment for three nights at the ICU.
As reported in a statement from the PM's office, Johnson has been moved from intensive care back to the ward, where he will be monitored closely in the early phase of his recovery, and it has been said that Boris is in good spirits. Boris Johnson was the first world leader to be hospitalised with the coronavirus, leading him to delegate powers to foreign minister Dominic Raab.
