Cop in soup!

Actor cum director of eminence Ramesh Aravind plays the role of 'Venkat' the cool cop in hot soup of his new venture 'Venkata in Sankata' that went on the floor at KSCA stadium on Monday morning. The earlier direction of over 100 plus films actor Ramesh Aravind, Rama Shama Bhama, Satyavan Savitri and Accident received rave reviews for the entertaining elements in it and made pretty good business to in the box office.

In the role of a traffic cop whatever he attempts to get promotion falls flat and he has the family reasons to this too. Venkata has two wives and he is always moving around with Rajaram Laddu (Devadas Kappikad a famous Tulu stage artist who has staged 8000 shows from his 40 plays) promotion what he is supposed to get goes to his associate cop? The story for this hilarious film plus suspense and thrill is lent by famous story writer for films Tholapilli Madhu. Madhu has written over 190 stories to suit the films in his long career.

Ramesh Aravind has three counterparts Sharmila Mandre, Meghana Mudiyan a California citizen, Anusha a model in her profession. PKH Das is the cameraman; Rickey Kej continues his journey with Ramesh Aravind after 'Accident' as music director. Balaji Manohar and Dhananjay Balaji are in the assistance direction department while Nanda writes the dialogues.

Naren Magalani of Sinema House also owner of an Italian restaurant plus doing construction business is producing the film with his partners.

The 22 days schedule and one month long schedule in November and December would complete the film. The film is slated for release in February 2009.

Upendra is dancing with 10 established heroines of Kannada cinema on two sets and the entire song shoot is estimated to cost Rs.50 lakhs.

'Panwala' back from Switzerland

Hat trick hero Shivarajkumar and Survin Chawla starring 'Paramesha Panwala' has completed two songs at the exotic locations of Switzerland surroundings and reached Bangalore recently. The 20 member crew of 'Paramesha Panwala' stayed for a week and stored two songs.

50 Lakhs for one song

The Kannada cinema industry is showing lavishness very frequently. Recently for 'Josh' Kannada film Rs.10 lakhs was spent by producer S.V.Babu for the opening song choreographed by Stanley D'Costa of Mumbai. The new talent picked from a talent search by SV Productions is in the cast of 'Josh' directed by Shivamani. Santosh Rai Pathaje is the cameraman of this film.
