The recently concluded ‘Cooku With Comali’ season two that mixed cooking and humour was a huge hit on the broadcast space. Many of its contestants have gone to the next level in their careers namely Pugazh, Sivaangi, Pavithra Lakshmi who have bagged movie offers with top stars and production houses.
Ashwin one of the most noticeable stars of ‘Cooku With Comali 2’ who was adjudged the runner up hit a jackpot when popular production house Trident Arts signed a three-film deal with him. Apart from that he also was set to star in a new movie directed by Kritiga Udhayanidhi of ‘Vanakkam Chennai’ and ‘Kaali’ fame.
News has now emerged that the team of the as-yet-untitled film has now opted for Kalidas Jayaram in place of Ashwin. The film to be produced by a new banner Rise East Productions is expected to go on floors soon. We need to await the official announcement for the confirmations.
