Ashwin Kumar Lakshmikanthan aspired to become an actor and headed to Chennai from his hometown Coimbatore almost eight years ago. He appeared in a minor role with Arya in Parthiban's experimental film 'Kadhai Thiraikadhai Vasanam' but unfortunately, his scenes were cut and it was a big struggle for him for many years.

However his participation in the 'Cooku With Comali ' season two changed his fortunes and he gained instant stardom. His popularity is so high that a song video "Kutty Pattas' costarring Reba Monica John has garnered a massive 90 million views.

Ashwin has now bagged a three film deal to play the hero with the top production house Trident Arts and today the title of his first film has been announced. Arya unveiled the poetic title 'Enna Solla Pogirai'.

'Enna Solla Pogirai' is directed by debutante Hariharan with music by Vivek Mervin, cinematography by Richard M Nathan. 'Cooku With Comali 2' fame Pugazh is also playing a very pivotal character in the film. The heroine and the rest of cast details will be announced soon.
