Recently at the Zee cine awards, the Best Lyrics award went to the film Kalyug's number Jiya Dhadak Dhadak. Now comes the controversial part of the story. The person nominated for this number was Sayeed Quadri.

Now a person from Pakistan Asim Raza has claimed that he wrote the original lyrics, which was a chart buster rendered by Raahat Fateh Ali Khan. He claims that he wrote the song last year and Mohit Suri and Mukesh Bhatt had selected it to be the theme track of their film. He also has all the necessary legal papers to prove his claim. He has all the evidence to prove that he wrote the song.

It seems he was nominated and the promos ran for a month and then Sayeed Quadri was given away the nomination and the award. Raza promises to go to the depth of the issue. While the Bhatt's seem to have purchased the rights of songs and altered it to fit the screenplay, Raza feels cheated. All we can do is to wait and watch out for what happens next to this Indo Pak relation.
