Controversial actor rejoins body, actresses quit

In what may be called as an assertion by a handful of Malayalam actresses, Remya Nambeesan, Rima Kallingal, and Geethu Mohandas (among others) have come out of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (AMMA) protesting against the reinstatement of actor Dileep in the film body.
As is known, the actor is one of the accused in a case of kidnapping and sexual assault of a frontline Malayalam actress. His inclusion is seen as coming from 'Complete Actor' Mohanlal, who was most recently appointed AMMA's new president.
With the quitting of the actresses, it's a moral setback for Mohanlal. For these part, Remya & others have done the right thing in solidarity with the victim of a molestation Dileep had allegedly planned.
