Soulful interview with veteran actor Rajesh

Veteran actor Rajesh in an exclusive interview to Indiaglitz speaks about his experiences in Tamil Cinema, the icons he admires and his understanding of cinema in order to make it a wonderful medium for art to permeate.

This interview can be termed ‘enlightening’ especially because it carries with it the passion of an industry that has struggled to etch out qualitative emotions that can stand the test of time.

From rather humble beginnings Rajesh cemented a place for himself as an actor to reckon with. Most filmmakers who cast him made sure he rubbed off an onscreen persona with ideological substance more often than naught. This was probably because the man himself was driven by strong convictions that the general masses could identify with.

Rajesh goes at length with his admiration for yesteryear legend M. R. Radha even mimicking him from time to time. Sivaji Ganesan and MGR also feature in his ‘idols’ list. His observations on yesteryear directors like K. Balachander, K. Bagyaraj and what made them tick comes across as a revelation for young minds who aspire to be filmmakers.

The interview also doubles up as a wealth of information for future filmmakers as Rajesh goes in depth describing the nuances of direction?.like real time occurrences, screen time occurrences, etc.

If you are a person who has an affinity for Tamil Cinema and has been watching the changing trends of the industry you surely don’t want to miss out on this captivating interview which is candid, direct and filled with substance.
