Anjali does a chameleon

Actress Anjali, who became a familiar face after the film ‘Katrathu Tamizh’ is currently working in ‘Angadi Theru’ – a film directed by the talented director of ‘Veyyil’ Vasanthabalan.

Anjali plays a girl with rustic shades and hence was asked to reduce weight as well as get dark. Vasanthabalan proved his mettle with ‘Veyyil’ for his realistic approach. Obviously one can expect a lot of realism in ‘Angadi Theru’ as well.

The actress religiously worked on both aspects. She lost five kilos and stood for long hours in the sun to lose complexion.

The actress recounted her determination to lose color by saying, ‘I used to stand in the sun for hours. But then when we went to shoot in a place called Thiruchendur, all of us became dark. The place had such scorching heat that every single one of us lost color’.

Only after the shooting for ‘Angadi Theru’ is complete will Anjali decide on her next Tamil film. However, the actress will commence work on two Telugu projects.

‘Both roles are glamorous in nature’ declares Anjali.
