Dhanush’s movie at Dubai Film Festival

After earning global critical acclaim at prestigious film festivals across the world including the Toronto Film Festival, Fox Star Studios’ The Crow’s Egg will now be screened at the esteemed Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) from 10th- 16th December, 2014. The 11th edition of the festival will be held at The beach JBR. DIFF has a diverse line-up of the world’s best films from the Arab world and beyond.

The Crow’s Egg is a quirky comedy with a strong social message. The film revolves around the story of two carefree slum boys who are consumed by the desire to taste a new-fangled dish called ‘pizza’ when a pizza joint starts business on their old playground,. Realizing that one pizza costs more than their family’s monthly income, they begin to plan ways to earn more money – inadvertently setting in motion an adventure that will involve the entire city.

The film has been co-produced by superstar Dhanush and national-award winning director Vetri Maaran along with Fox Star Studios and has been directed by debutant Manikandan, who is also the writer and cinematographer of the film.
