Prashanth is a romantic hero in Kollywood who had acted with top heroines including Aishwarya Rai and a half-a-dozen others from Bollywood.
His chocolate-box hero image always demands a glamorous heroine.
So for him to do a film sans a heroine, there must be a compelling and convincing reason.
And he says there is one for Adaikalam in which he is a heroine-less hero.
The film’s script is just too good, he says. "It is all about brother-sister relationship," he adds. Uma,of Kadal Pookal fame, plays his sister.
He says the story is touching and inspirational that his father, Thiagarajan, who had decided not to act with him anymore, was forced to reconsider his decision.
"My father and I had a heavy heart after listening to the story," he says.
So Prashanth’s solo flight is expecting a safe landing.
