The pic where a police constable is seen consoling a crying toddler is going viral. Reason? The constable went out of the call of his duty to comfort the toddler, the 6-month-old kid of a woman who was writing an exam when the incident happened the other day.
In Mahabubnagar, a constable named Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was moved when he saw the child crying inconsolably. The baby boy's mother had left the child in the hands of a 15-year-old relative before venturing into the exam hall. The child kept silent for one hour. He kept crying for his mother soon thereafter. The young relative just couldn't comfort him.
At this time, Rehman was patrolling the SCTPC (Stipendiary Cadet Trainee Police Constables) exam centre. He spotted the child that was weeping at a high pitch. He successfully lulled the child into sleep after putting in much effort.
The mother, when she came out of the exam hall, was pleasantly relieved upon seeing her child calmly sleeping. She told the constable that she had none at home to look after her son.
