In a day of interesting political developments, Congressman Marri Shashidhar Reddy had a bad news as the Sanathnagar assembly constituency has gone to Telugu Desam Party, the Grand Old Party's Mahakutami ally. TDP leader Kuna Venkatesh Goud will now fight the TRS strongman Talasani Srinivas Yadav from the segment.
On his part, Marri today said that he will decide on the future course of action after consulting his supporters.
The Jangoan ticket has gone to Congress' Ponnala Lakshmaiah. As per a report, TJS' Kodandaram was requested by Rahul Gandhi to let Ponnala have it in view of the backward classes' population in the constituency.
Meanwhile, suspense over who will get Miriyalaguda ticket continues. Senior Congress leader Jana Reddy has been making a strong case for himself here. Congress needs to announce its candidates for five assembly segments only.
