A Congress MLA took the 300 chairs he had given to the party office in Aurangabad, after Congress party denied him a ticket to contest in the Lok Sabha elections. The MLA is Abdul Sattar Nabi, who's from Sillod constituency, and had recently also planned to quit Congress.
The MLA had demanded Congress seat from Aurangabad, but was denied by the party. Following this denial, the frustrated Sattar went with his team of followers to the Congress party office and along with them, took all the 300 chairs in the office and placed it in a tempo he had brought.
He also submitted the resignation later, and it was later found that Abdul Sattar was the one who purchased all the chairs in the office, and that he had spent a lot of money for the party over the years. After his angry response to him being denied the Aurangabad seat, Congress party is now planning to hold peace talks with him, as he had also thought of contesting as an independent candidate in the same constituency.
