While everyone was super-excited to know about the new female lead who would be replacing the International icon, Pee Cee, Ali broke the news that it would be none other than Katrina Kaif who would be seen in the shoes of Chopra’s character. He said, “"I am extremely excited to work with Katrina and Salman again. We have had exciting collaborations in the past. Katrina got on board in the Nick of time for this project.”
As Katty is completing her pending work commitments currently, she will commence her shoot for ‘Bharat’ from September onwards. On the other hand, Salman has begun his shooting two weeks ago and is shooting for a circus sequence. The duo has also performed on Dabangg tour recently.
Scripted by Zafar and Varun V Sharma, 'Bharat' is an official remake of the Korean film 'Ode To My Father'. The film will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi in India. It is slated for an Eid release in 2019.
