The second day of the 21 days lockdown that the government of India has imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic is about to draw to a close and there are thousands of stories as to how people overcome the boredom of being confined inside their four walls. The news channels and online media are barraging people with one shocking news after the other but then other things happen too that makes you smile.
The complete lockdown in India exempts certain essential commodities such as medicines, food, groceries etc. Medical stores all around India are selling sanitizers, gloves and face masks in great numbers but one item that is outselling these are you believe it or not CONDOMS!.
Medical stores in all parts of India have seen a sudden surge in the sales of condoms and have been surprised that people feel that it is an essential commodity and some buy even ten packets (50 or 100 pieces) fearing that soon it will go out of stock. The pharmacists also inform that equal to men women too buy condoms without any embarrassment in the metro cities.
As a large number of the population is staying home and working from home our guess is that they sneak time out and indulge in a lot of bedroom activities judging from the hot condom sales reported throughout the country. Anyways its better to be safe than sorry whether its coronavirus or sex.
